FullSizeRenderHelp with transition from PT to your gym
Anne offers exercise training not only in her office but also at your own gym. The transition from physical therapy after injury or surgery to independent exercise at home or at a gym can be a time of uncertainty and setbacks. Anne can modify any gym or home program so you can work out while still healing and avoid reinjury. This is achieved by careful attention to technique, low amount of weight at the start and gradually increasing resistance, remembering that the “tortoise won the race in the end.

Prepare for Surgery Heal Faster Program
Anne is a certified teacher for Peggy Huddeston’s Program. This research based program has been used in Boston hospitals with great success and support of the surgeons, nurses and patients. Patients receive one hour training and then use Peggy Huddlestonʼs DVD practicing deep relaxation at home. In a research study done at the New England Baptist on total knee replacement patients, this relaxation training prior to surgery resulted in the need for less pain medicine, less anesthesia and less time in the hospital. This training can be done by phone if distance makes it impractical to come to the office in Natick, Massachusetts. Anne uses Peggy Huddlestonʼs program not only for preparation for surgery but also for insomnia, stress, anxiety and pain management with great success. Her patients feel much more in control of their pain, stress levels and sleep better from doing the program. For more information go to healfaster.com, Peggy Huddlestonʼs web site.

Improve Golf and Tennis Strokes
This analysis is a service Anne provides. She has treated many elite tennis players with nagging problems related to poor body alignment, loss of strength or flexibility. Analysis of muscle imbalances, and creation of a corrective home or gym program will translate into finally healing an injury and powerful, accurate strokes on the golf course and on the tennis court.

Restore facial  muscle  fullness and contour with Flex Effect
This is a gentle non invasive face lifting method using resistance exercises instead of injections to help restore fullness to the face. As we age, we lose collagen in our tissues as well as actin and myosin which are the proteins in muscle fibers. This contributes to facial sagging, creases and crows feet. Flex Effect is an easy to learn program developed by Deborah Crowley who was a competitive weight lifter as a young woman. She has an extensive knowledge of anatomy of the face, and muscle functions.  I  think her program is the best one available for facial muscle training. The coaching sessions include a clearly illustrated manual and CD by Deborah Crowley. Your fingers provide the resistance. After about 6 weeks the results become apparent. The resistance training defines the face muscles by making them slightly fuller which softens the sag lines, creases and crows feet. The changes are more subtle than a face lift or injections but the upside is that the effects will last if the exercises are sustained. In most cases, 2 sessions of coaching is all that is needed and a commitment of 20 minutes a day. Prevent Falls
This is one of Anneʼs special interests after witnessing the serious injuries sustained by her family members and patients who have fallen. She has developed a series of exercises for balance training to increase your sense of stability and balance inside and outside your home.
